The art of Steve Ericsson aka Steve II
My father worked at a lot of jobs in his lifetime, like most artists. He spent a couple of decades in the Merchant Marines, including during WWII, a tool and dye maker and a machinist. But he always painted, no matter what his paying job was. In 1961, he moved to Ibiza, where he settled in for the rest of his life as a painter. He was one of the few painters who actually recorded the local culture of the Ibizencan people.
Here is a slide show of the painting in his last show, which was in 198o. He died in January of 1981.
